What is Sit, Stetch and Strengthen?

Sit, Stretch and Strengthen is a blend of chair yoga, fitness and mindfulness. Students are guided through a gentle sequence of movements which help improve the function, mobility and range of motion of the spine and other joints in the body. We stretch and release tension in tight areas such as shoulders, neck, sides of the chest, hips and lower back. Other exercises work to gently strengthen the shoulders, upper back, thighs and abdominal muscles. There is also an emphasis on the breath. The breath is linked with the movements which helps the body to relax and release stress and tension. All of this is done seated in a chair, making it accessible to all students regardless of age or inflexibility.

Sit, Stretch and Strengthen is a dynamic and fun class that is geared towards seniors and suitable for all fitness levels.

About Sit, Stretch and Strengthen Classes.

Kim is a fully certified yoga teacher with over 300 hours of teacher training since 2013.
She created Sit, Stretch and Strengthen as a chair yoga/ fitness fusion class and teaches both private and public classes in Chilliwack and surrounding areas.
Kim’s approach to teaching is lighthearted, supportive and encouraging.
Classes are designed to fit the needs of the individuals in each group. 
Classes are for all levels and are suitable for almost everyone, including beginners. 
Kim carry’s liability insurance and has CPR training by the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

What you will need:

A quiet, comfortable space large enough for use. (ie; common room, clubhouse....depends on the number of participants)

Sturdy chairs with a back. (enough for all participants)

Comfortable clothing, a water bottle and a curious mind!
